CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: 🚨✝️🙏 TOLD TO REMOVE BIBLE VERSE? Colorado Student’s Faith Sparks School Controversy
A Colorado senior was told her parking spot couldn’t include a Bible verse. Now her quiet stand for faith has become a powerful national story.
No space for faith?
That’s the message one Colorado high school senior got after painting a Bible verse on her parking spot—only to be told she couldn’t mention God at all.
Now her story is sparking a national debate: Is America erasing Christianity from public schools… one brushstroke at a time?

What do you think — should Christian students be free to express their faith at school, or should religion stay out of public spaces?

In Colorado Springs, 17-year-old Sophia Shumaker did what many seniors do at Rampart High School — she paid to decorate her parking spot.
Her design? A beautiful, peaceful scene — a shepherd on a hill with sheep and a verse from Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd.”
But then came the shock.
Her school rejected the design, saying it contained “religious images.”
Their rule? No political, gang-related, or religious content.
But to Sophia, this wasn’t politics. It was her worship.
So she tried again — removing the imagery and simply writing a small verse reference: “1 Cor 13:4.”
Yet again, the answer was no.
Sophia stayed quiet to keep her spot—but the fight for her freedom of faith was only just beginning.

Should a Bible verse really be treated like a gang symbol or an offensive message?
Or is this another example of discrimination against Christian expression in public schools?

Now, the First Liberty Institute has stepped in, sending a legal demand letter to Rampart High School and the district.
They argue Sophia’s design is private student expression, fully protected by the First Amendment.
Their message is clear: if schools allow students to express themselves, they can’t ban only the ones who express faith.
The letter cites major Supreme Court cases like Tinker v. Des Moines (1969) and Kennedy v. Bremerton (2022), both reaffirming that Christians do not lose their constitutional rights to express their beliefs just because they’re on school property.
First Liberty gave the district until October 31 to reverse its decision—or face legal action.
Now, the nation is watching.
Will the school stand down—or double down?
