CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: At Least 8 People Killed, 75 Evacuated, Rescue Ongoing at High-Rise Department Store in Zigong City, Southwest China
A fire broke out Wednesday evening at a high-rise department store in Zigong City, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, killing 8 people.
The fire in the 14-story building, located in the city’s high-tech zone, was reported around 6 PM China Standard Time, and there was a lot of thick smoke at the scene, according to the local fire and rescue headquarters.
As approximately 10:30 PM China Standard Time, 75 individuals were trapped inside the building and had been evacuated.
The rescue operation is ongoing.
