Confirmed Tragic Passing
Today, Christian Breaking News confirms the tragic passing of Pastor Josh Rene, Executive Pastor at Journey Church, Florida.
According to local reports from Palm Beach County authorities, WFLX, Boca Post, CBS12, and WPTV, Pastor Josh was involved in a fatal motorcycle collision near Atlantis Plaza. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the injuries were too severe — he passed at the scene.
Journey Church released a tribute, asking the church family to pray for the Rene family.
PASTOR SCOTT BAUGH’S TRIBUTE
The most moving message came from Pastor Scott Baugh, a close friend and fellow shepherd:
“When we found out that Pastor Josh was killed in that accident… it just doesn’t feel real. I don’t know what to say.”
Scott shared how Josh wasn’t just a leader, but a brother:
“For so many of you he was Pastor Josh… but to me, he was just Josh — a friend, a brother for ten years. He genuinely loved people so well. That’s why I kept empowering him more and more — because he would take care of everyone he shepherded.”
Scott connected grief to Christ:
“Jesus wasn’t weeping for Lazarus. He was weeping for the people who loved him. That’s how much God sees our pain.”
He reminded Christians:
“It’s okay to mourn. It’s okay to have questions. We don’t mourn without hope — one day we will see Pastor Josh again.”
