CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: ‘Smoking is Dangerous, but Hamas is More Dangerous’: IDF Airdrops Cigarettes over Khan Yunis, Gaza [#SmokingIsDangerous #HamaIsMoreDangerous]

With cigarette prices in the Gaza Strip at an all-time high, the IDF has taken advantage of the situation to reward citizens’ contempt and distrust of Hamas.

On Thursday, the IDF dropped cigarettes from the skies over the coastal area of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, along with leaflets warning residents of the risks posed by Hamas, according to N12.

While the IDF has been known to drop leaflets repeatedly before striking, suggesting that the population vacate the area immediately for their own safety, some have been used to offer rewards to Hamas officials.

Unlike earlier leaflets, those dropped by the IDF on Thursday did not request that Gazans evacuate or provide information, according to N12.

Instead, people were given cigarettes.

Leaflets attached to the cigarette read, “Smoking is dangerous, but Hamas is more dangerous,” and “Hamas is burning Gaza.”

In addition to the inscription, the IDF provided a contact number for the ‘Influence Department’ for more information.

An additional leaflet promised an undefined gift to any Gazan who gathered 5 leaflets.

Since the start of the war, Hamas has had complete control over supply and demand in Gaza, hiking prices for goods, humanitarian aid, and cigarettes, sometimes by alarming numbers.

According to N12, the current price of a single cigarette in the Gaza Strip is 27 USD, while packs sell for 430 USD.

This ‘fee’ has allowed Hamas to fund its own survival throughout the war, at the immense expense of Gazan citizens.

A security official who spoke with N12 indicated that the distribution of cigarettes with the publicized messages was designed to send a message to Hamas, which is unable to manage governance in the Strip.

According to the official, the goal was to encourage opposition and denunciation of the terrorist organization and its inability to maintain public order.

“It is important to emphasize that cigarettes do not enter the strip and that this is a one-time occurrence.”

The alarmingly high prices of cigarettes, inflated by Hamas, have generated a significant crisis in the Gaza Strip, forcing citizens to turn to smuggling and other alternatives in order to access the product.
