A defiant President Joe Biden told supporters on Friday that he will continue in the campaign for the White House and defeat Donald Trump again, despite fears among Democrats that he has the ability to compete with his opponent.
“Let me say this as clearly as I can: I’m staying in the race. I’ll beat Donald Trump,” the president declared at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin, more than a week after his shaky debate performance sparked concerns about his physical and mental condition.
The US President reiterated Friday that no one is better qualified to lead the country or defeat Trump than he is, dismissing doubts about his ability to defeat his Republican challenger in November.
When asked if continuing in the campaign against Trump would endanger Democrats’ chances of retaining the White House, Biden responded, “I don’t think anybody’s more qualified to be president or win this race than me.”
