CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: ⚖️🔥 Christians Rally for Rights: Tribal Councils Ban Pastors and Converts Under Local Law
Christians in Chhattisgarh plan a civil rights rally after tribal councils, citing local law, ban pastors and converts — sparking a national debate on faith freedom.
Developing Story from India:
In the tribal district of Kanker, Chhattisgarh, several villages have reportedly banned Christian pastors — and in some cases, Christians who have converted from tribal faiths — from entering their communities, citing the PESA Act, which governs tribal village councils.
Now, Christians are preparing a Civil Rights Rally, called the “Nagarik Astha Adhikar Rally,” organized by the Rashtriya Christian Morcha (RCM) — even as the High Court has declined to remove those bans.

According to a report from International Christian Concern (Persecution.org), the Rashtriya Christian Morcha circulated flyers on social media to mobilize support for the upcoming rally.
However, those flyers have not yet appeared publicly or been independently confirmed.
The planned rally aims to spotlight what Christian leaders call ongoing discrimination and restrictions against pastors in tribal regions.
Local sources say village councils have invoked local interpretations of the PESA Act to bar pastors and Christian gatherings, claiming they disrupt traditional tribal customs.
In some areas, similar restrictions have reportedly extended to Christians who converted from traditional tribal faiths — facing social boycotts or exclusion from village life.
While human rights groups have condemned these restrictions, the Chhattisgarh High Court has so far declined to intervene, leaving the bans in place — a decision now facing growing public and legal scrutiny.
This debate has divided opinions across India’s tribal regions — and now, we want to hear yours.
