A heartfelt plea from a former teacher: “My former student is missing” — 9-year-old Alex Duarte, an at-risk, autistic, non-verbal child, was last seen around 6:30 PM on June 21, 2025, walking eastbound on Camino Tassajara from Casablanca in Danville, CA.
Alex is a Hispanic male, 4′11″, ~70 lb, Black hair and Brown eyes.
Wearing a Black T-shirt and Grey shorts.
If you see Alex—or have any info—call Danville PD immediately at (925) 646‑2441 or dial 911 if you’re in Contra Costa County.

UPDATED POST: Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in the area of CAMINO TASSAJARA and BLACKHAWK DRIVE.
ALEX DUARTE, is a 9 year old HISPANIC MALE, that is 4 feet and 11 inches tall, and weighs approximately 70 pounds.
They were last seen near CAMINO TASSAJARA around 6:30PM. They have BLACK hair, BROWN eyes, and was last seen wearing GREY SHORTS & a BLACK T-SHIRT. ALEX is believed to be at risk due to AUTISM & IS NON VERBAL.
