One of the robbers accused of stealing $1 million in jewels from flamboyant Brooklyn pastor Lamor Miller Whitehead during a live streamed church service last year pleaded guilty on Tuesday.
Say-Quan Pollack, 25, gently said “Guilty” when Judge William F. Kuntz II asked if he acknowledged to assisting carry out the July 2022 robbery at Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsie.
Pollack pleaded guilty to 1 count of federal robbery and faces between 5.25 and 6.5 years in jail if he “clearly demonstrates acceptance of responsibility” for the horrifying act before his sentence date, according to court documents.
He risked a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
The preacher, called the “Bling Bishop” because of his fondness for wearing Fendi suits, bold-framed eyeglasses, showy watches, rings, necklaces, and driving a Rolls Royce, earlier stated that he forgiven the robbers, but had harsh words for them after court Tuesday.
Juwan Anderson, Pollack’s accused accomplice, has pleaded not guilty and is out on bail.
His trial is now scheduled for March, but court documents indicate that he is also close to a plea bargain with the government.
Shamar Leggette, 41, a third robbery suspect, is yet to be captured.
In July 2022, a trio of robbers was seen robbing Whitehead during a livestreamed sermon at his Brooklyn church.
They reportedly stole Whitehead’s $75,000 Rolex, $75,000 Cavalier watch, $25,000 diamond and ruby ring, and other valuables.
