Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former Pres. Trump, spoke with ABC News’ Linsey Davis on Donald Trump’s performance during tonight’s debate against Pres. Joe Biden.
In a historic clash of personalities and policies, Joe Biden and Donald Trump faced off in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election.
The debate gave a rare opportunity for both candidates to move the needle in what has been a tense fight for the White House, but at the end of the night, Biden’s slow performance sparked new concerns among Democrats while Republicans celebrated.
The debate was a rematch for Biden and Trump, who had met twice in 2020, but a novel format and a dramatically different political landscape created new hurdles for the two opponents.
