At a rally in Lokoja, Kogi State, Yahaya Bello said: We will not wait for God to send an angel with wings to fly into Nigeria to fix it. Should I tell you who the angel is? The angel is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Bello emphasized that Nigerians should recognize Tinubu’s leadership and reforms. He highlighted actions like the removal of fuel subsidies, the introduction of student loans, and the floating of the naira exchange rate, saying these moves signal that the ‘new Nigeria’ is already underway.
He acknowledged that decades of decay cannot be fixed overnight, but under Tinubu’s administration, infrastructure is being rebuilt, foreign investment is growing, and citizens are seeing tangible benefits. The rally echoed with chants of ‘new Nigeria, new Nigeria,’ reflecting strong support for this vision.
Bello also reminded the audience that leadership without a lasting impact is meaningless, urging Nigerians to uphold Tinubu’s work to ensure a tangible legacy.
