According to a statement by Christian Assembly Ministries – Dominica: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pastor Edward Laurent.”
Pastor Laurent was more than a pastor — he was a pillar of strength to his congregation at Gospel Light Temple Church, a mentor to fellow ministers, and a guiding light to Christians across Dominica. From his early days in ministry, his faith, grace, and humility inspired countless lives.
His wife, First Lady Sharmandy Laurent, shared her personal grief, saying: “He was indeed a blessing to us. He has left behind a positive mark, and until death, he kept the faith. I know for sure that he is resting in the Lord.”
This is the life of a Christian who truly walked the path of faith, leaving behind a spiritual legacy that will continue to uplift generations.

We at Christian Assembly Ministries are deeply saddened by the passing of Pastor Edward Laurent🫶
To his beloved wife, First Lady Sharmandy Laurent and their children, Brother Bishop Jerry Laurent, Sister Vincentia Adrien, all other Siblings, Family Members, Members of his Local Assembly – Gospel Light Temple Church – along with fellow Pastors and their Congregations, the many Loved Ones and Friends: please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.
Pastor Laurent was an incredible source of strength and help to Christian Assembly Ministries, particularly in his early days of ministry when he relocated back to Dominica. We thank God for the grace, humility, and faithfulness with which he served the Lord and His people. His life and ministry have left a lasting spiritual legacy that continues to encourage and inspire us.
In this moment of grief, we take comfort in the blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus. We rejoice that Pastor Laurent is now in the presence of the Lord he loved and served so faithfully, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or tears. May the God of all comfort surround you with His peace, strengthen your hearts, and reassure you that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

I can only remember the wonderful memories that my husband and I shared together. He was indeed a blessing to us. He has left behind a positive mark and untill death he has kept the faith. I know for sure that he is resting in the Lord. Thank you Lord for the peace and assurance that you have given.
