In a surprise phone interview with MSNBC on Monday morning, US President Joe Biden expressed frustration with the conversation surrounding his fitness and calls for him to step aside.
“Any of these guys that don’t think I should run, run against me. Announce for president, challenge me at the convention.”

Biden also sent a letter to his party’s congressional representatives on Monday, insisting that he would remain in the race and calling for an end to the Democratic Party’s drama.
The letter comes amid growing calls from inside his party for him to resign following his poor debate performance.
