The reports about my brother Jared (Bear) Oswald being missing that have been circulating are indeed true. Some information being released about Bear is misleading, so on behalf of the Oswald family we would like to share the facts:
Bear was last seen / heard from on Monday May 19th at 7:14 am. Unique circumstances caused Bears siblings to contact the police.
Bear is 50 years old. He is 5’11 approx 200 lbs, and of muscular build. He is of sound mind / sound health / physically fit. He has never abused drugs or alcohol. He is active in his Christian congregation. He has a large family and countless friends in the community who adore him. For the many who are searching we are truly grateful. For law enforcement and their diligent efforts we are grateful. Please – share this and make it public, bring Bear home. Any information – no matter how small- please dial 911. On behalf of the entire Oswald family we truly say thank you.
We ask that the Oswald family’s privacy is respected at this time as we diligently look for our brother.

Update::: Bear IS still missing. He was last seen at Turning Point Park near his Harding Road home, Charlotte / Rochester area early Monday morning. Our hope is BRIGHT! For all who have shared the posts -my family is eternally grateful. Don’t stop.
