The Israeli-American Council headquarters in Los Angeles has been defaced with Nazi symbols and antisemitic slogans.

The Israeli-American Council (IAC) headquarters in Los Angeles, California has been vandalized in a shocking act of antisemitism, with Nazi symbols, swastikas, and anti-Israel slogans painted across its walls and sidewalks.
Security footage captured the suspect, and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)’s Topanga Division is investigating. Community leaders, including IAC CEO Elan S. Carr, have strongly condemned the hate crime, calling for unity and resilience against the growing wave of antisemitism in the United States.

Over the weekend, the Shepher Community Center, which houses the IAC’s Los Angeles headquarters in Woodland Hills, was vandalized with clearly antisemitic graffiti. The vandalism included yellow swastikas, Nazi symbols, and a swastika painted on a cardboard snowman at the entrance.
Antisemitic words were spray-painted on nearby barricades along Highway 101, and more swastikas appeared in the surrounding neighborhood.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Community division is leading the investigation as a possible hate crime.
Security footage captured an image of the suspect during the act, which is currently being reviewed by law enforcement.
IAC and the broader Jewish community leaders have condemned the attack.
Elan S Carr, CEO of the IAC and former US special envoy to combat antisemitism, condemned the act, calling it a “vile act of antisemitism” and reaffirmed that it only “fuels our determination to stand even stronger against antisemitism.”
The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles issued a strong statement of solidarity, calling the vandalism “a stark reminder of the growing tide of hatred facing Jews in our city and across the country.”
This incident fits into a troubling pattern of rising antisemitic incidents in Los Angeles. Since the onset of the Israel–Hamas war in October 2023, LAPD recorded a 38% increase in anti-Jewish hate crimes compared to the previous year, with non-crime bias incidents surging nearly 57%.

Our offices at the Sheffer Community Center in Los Angeles have been vandalized with shocking antisemitic vandalism, as part of a number of hate graffiti hotspots appearing throughout the Valley.
Crosses, nazi symbols and hate messages like “F— Jews, BDS” sprinkled on the sidewalk, entrance and nearby checkpoints. Among the paintings – a yellow hook cross with the letters “SS” at the entrance, another hook cross on a snowman at the entrance to the offices, and another hateful graffiti on barriers near Highway 101.
The Shafar Center is the home of the Israeli-American community and the Jewish community here in Los Angeles.
