A Mid-South family and church are mourning the deaths of their senior pastor and his wife following a tragic crash this week that threw the couple off the road.

Dr. Bobby Mullins, senior pastor at Kirk Baptist Church in Piperton, TN and his wife Wanda were involved in an accident on Church Road while returning home from Wanda’s shift at Baptist DeSoto Hospital, according to their children.

The couple had been married for 40 years and had 4 grandchildren.

But the Mullins’ children say their parents’ Christian legacy of faith is stronger than ever.

Despite their grief, the siblings claim their father is still spreading the gospel

As they discuss funeral arrangements, they claim their parents are as close as ever.

They’re in heaven now.

Funeral arrangements have not been finalized, but Dr. Mullins has been a pastor in churches around the Mid South since 1991, so many are anticipated to commemorate their lives in a joint funeral.
