Whisper Owen, 36, and Sandra McCarty, her 8-month-old daughter, have been missing since July 15, 2025. They were last seen leaving a doctor’s appointment in Fresno, California, at around 5:00 pm.
Authorities believe they may be traveling in a silver 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer (CA license plate 9LKH008) possibly with front-end damage.

Law Enforcement Continues Search for Missing Mother and Child
36 year old Whisper Owen and her daughter, 8 month old Sandra McCarty, were last seen on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
They were traveling in a silver 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a CA license plate of 9LKH008. The SUV has damage to its driver’s side headlight.
The vehicle left the city of Fresno on July 15 around 5:00 pm. A traffic camera last captured it shortly after 8:00 pm in the city of Atwater, near Shaffer and Bellevue Roads. They were supposed to be heading home to Elk Grove (Sacramento County) where family members were expecting them.
Whisper is described as 5’6″, 145 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair.
Sandra is described as 1’10”, 17 lbs. with green eyes and brown hair.
No information has been discovered to explain their disappearance. If seen, dial 911.
