THE REVEREND DR. JEFFEREY P. KEE “Pastor for The Master”
Dr. Jefferey P. Kee is a an electrifying energizing preacher, a native of Columbus, Ohio who has served at New Faith Baptist Church of Christ for 25 years in the Urban context near downtown Columbus (near east side). He is affectionately known as the “Pastor for the Master”!
As a multifaceted pulpiteer of the Gospel, who graduated in the Doctorate of Ministry program as a preacher for Social Change. Dr. Kee has propagated the word in many venues. In his appeal to reach the masses, he may be characterized as a visionary and at times extraordinary, with vision and mission beyond the veil. Dr. Kee has been a revolutionizing personality standing on many platforms eradicating barriers of Racism, Sexism, Classism, Denominationalism and other “isms”.
As a catalyst within the Social Justice Horizon, Kee has been a speaker for Racism and Racial Unity Summits, MLK Celebrations, Justice Seminars, Training and Clergy Conferences. He has served as Commissioner for Religion at large for the Near East Area Commission, Facilitator/Educator for “Keeping it Real”, i.e., a faith-based dialogue on Sexuality for the Black Church Initiative in Washington, D.C., Board of Trustees for the United Christian Center of OSU, Partner with Columbus Community Mental Health. Dr. Kee has been featured several times in Who’s Who in Black Central Ohio. He previously served as Chairperson of Africentric Personal Development Shop, Board of Directors of D.A.R.T. (Direct Action Research Training, Miami, Florida) and Co-President of BREAD – Building Responsibility Equality and Dignity of Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Kee has been the recipient of many awards and honors: The Safety Team Award of Excellence; (Safety Police Fire Department), Norman E. Thomas Award; Democratic Socialist of Franklin, County), Outstanding Community Outreach Award (Police Officers for Equal Rights), Serving the Community Proclamation (Columbus City Attorney); Outstanding Community Outreach Award (WVKO Radio); Ambassadors for Peace Award (Universal Federation of America); Award of Excellence (London Correctional Institution)… As a Leader who volunteers his gifts to community service, he is recognized as a dynamic force.
Dr. Kee has an Associate degree in Law Enforcement/Correctional Law-Columbus State Community College, Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-law/Political Science- Wilberforce University, Xenia, Ohio; Master of Theological Studies -Methodist Theological School; Master of Divinity-Methodist Theological School, Delaware, Ohio; Doctor of Ministry-United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Kee has served in the capacity of Adjunct Professor for Ohio Christian University; visiting lecturer at Capital University.
