In Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed Israel’s five core principles for ending the war in Gaza.

Principle #1:
Disarmament of Hamas

Principle #2:
Return of All hostages (Both Living and Deceased)

Principle #3:
Demilitarization of Gaza

Principle #4:
Continued Israeli security control

Principle #5:
Establishment of a non-Hamas / non-PA civilian administration

Principle #1:
Disarmament of Hamas:
Israel committed to completely dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities, including weapons stores and command structures—particularly in Gaza City and central refugee camps.

Principle #2:
Return of All Hostages (both Living and Deceased):
A high priority is the unconditional return of all hostages held by Hamas.

Principle #3:
Demilitarization of Gaza:
Following Hamas’s disarmament, Gaza is to be rendered incapable of serving as a military threat again.

Principle #4:
Continued Israeli Security Control:
Israel will maintain security oversight over Gaza even after the conflict ends, ensuring continued defense and stability.

Principle #5:
Establishment of a Non-Hamas / Non-PA Civilian Administration:
A civilian government—not affiliated with Hamas or the Palestinian Authority—will be established to govern Gaza post-conflict.

The Israeli Security Cabinet approved moving forward with a military expansion based on these five principles, with a planned push into Gaza City preceded by measures to evacuate civilians and deliver humanitarian aid to non-combat zones.

Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated that Israel does not intend to permanently annex Gaza but seeks to transition governance to an independent civilian body.
