It’s been nearly eight years since Pastor Raymond Koh, a Christian humanitarian known for helping the poor and marginalized, was abducted in a daylight operation near Kuala Lumpur.
The entire incident — caught on CCTV — showed a professional convoy of vehicles executing a precise 40-second abduction.
For years, officials denied involvement.
But his wife, Susanna Liew, refused to stay silent. Her steadfast pursuit of truth and accountability has kept this case in the national spotlight.
Then came that day in November 2025.
Malaysia’s High Court ruled that Pastor Koh’s abduction involved members of the police Special Branch, and held the government legally responsible.
The court awarded RM 37 million in damages to Koh’s family.

When reporters asked Susanna Liew for her reaction, she replied quietly —
“No amount of money will ever bring my husband back.”
Her words served as a powerful reminder that the pursuit of truth often outweighs financial compensation.

But the story didn’t end there.
Just days later, Malaysia’s Attorney-General’s Chambers announced it will appeal the ruling, seeking to overturn both the finding that police were responsible and the RM 37 million compensation order.

So even after the court acknowledged the finding — the appeal process means the fight for a final resolution continues.
And Susanna Liew’s words still echo as both prayer and protest:
“No amount of money will ever bring my husband back.”
