A central Indiana man employed as a youth pastor, substitute teacher, and coach in Henry County, IN has been arrested on child sex crime charges.
Bryan Crabtree of Sulphur Springs, IN, was arrested Thursday afternoon by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
Detectives began looking into Crabtree after receiving complaints of sexual wrongdoing involving children.
Crabtree is a youth pastor at Sulphur Springs Christian Church, as well as a substitute teacher and coach for the Shenandoah School Corporation, according to HCSO.
Following Crabtree’s arrest, the church quickly fired him.
HSCO stated that the school district had been notified of his charges, according to police.
Crabtree faces the following preliminary charges:
Sexual Misconduct with a Minor — Level 4 Felony
Child Solicitation (3 counts) — Level 5 Felony
According to Henry County officials, the investigation into Crabtree is still ongoing, and new charges are expected to be filed against him prior to trial.
