Minneapolis police are looking for the person who marked a house of worship with swastikas Monday morning.
It occurred shortly after 7 AM CT at Temple Israel in Minneapolis.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect committing the crime and then departing in a silver Honda Civic less than 2 minutes later.
Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman said they have received threatening phone calls before, but she cannot recall the last time someone spray-painted a swastika on the property.
The Jewish temple is attended by about 2,000 families, including Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon and Minneapolis Mayor.
The vandalism occurs as places of worship around the world are facing a rise in attacks and threats.
As Minneapolis police investigate, Hanukkah celebrations are already underway, with increased security.
