The Secret Service, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe. @pbso will have more details soon.
According to law enforcement sources, the Secret Service is responding to a shooting near Donald Trump as he leaves his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said Sunday afternoon.
Two people exchanged gunfire outside the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
According to the sources, the shooters were targeting each other, and the shooting was not directed at Trump.
According to sources, Trump was never in danger, and the gunshot took place in an area outside the club renowned for high crime.
