A driver crashed a car into a big crowd on Canal and Bourbon Street in New Orleans at approximately 3:15 AM ET on New Year’s Day, killing at least 10 people and injuring scores more.
According to city officials, NOEMS has transported 35 injured people, including a police officer, to 5 area hospitals.
The FBI is looking at the incident as an act of terror.
Police said the suspect died after jumping out of his pickup truck and exchanging gunfire with responding officers.
2 police officers were injured but are in stable condition.
