GAFCON—the Global Anglican Future Conference—has released a historic communiqué called The Future Has Arrived.
In a bold move, GAFCON is restructuring the Anglican Communion. The Holy Bible alone will be the foundation of fellowship… no compromises, no reinterpretations, just Scripture.
The communiqué rejects the current leadership—the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lambeth Conference, and the Anglican Consultative Council—saying they have failed to uphold true doctrine and discipline.
In their place, GAFCON announces the Global Anglican Communion, a fellowship of autonomous provinces bound by Scripture and Reformation principles.
And here’s the critical part: any province or diocese that wants to join must fully assent to the Jerusalem Declaration of 2008. Unity under God’s Word is non-negotiable.
Looking ahead, the G26 Bishops Conference in Abuja, Nigeria, March 3–6, 2026, will further cement this historic transformation.
This isn’t just a restructuring—it’s a reclamation of biblical authority, a turning point that could redefine the Church for generations.
