A bus accident near Jammu killed 22 people, including 8 women and 2 children, on their way to the Shiv Khori cave shrine in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A bus drove down into a deep gorge in the Tanda Morh on the Jammu Poonch Highway in the Akhnoor district, killing at least 22 people and injuring more than 70 others.
An official confirmed that a rescue operation was initiated shortly after the tragedy.
The bus was traveling from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the injured have been sent to the Akhnoor Hospital, Jammu and Kashmir.
