Micah continues to fight!Micah loves you, we love you, and God loves you! Thank you to our HDC pastors and staff for being here with us! Thank you all for your prayers! Everyone’s outpouring has been overwhelming in many great ways. I still have not given up. As one of our pastors said yesterday, we can keep praying for a miracle. God will tell us when/if it’s time to stop seeking that miracle. The Doctors are saying that this kind of damage to the brain can not heal naturally. I’m asking for supernatural healing! God is good! Often times in ways we can’t possibly understand. He sees more and knows more, and has a perfect will and plan. I will endeavor to accept and understand His will and plan, come what may.

A 17-year-old Apple Valley boy is in serious condition after being injured in a two-vehicle crash that killed his mother, Cheryl Moyer, 56, over Memorial Day weekend.
Chris Moyer revealed on Monday night that his son, Micah Moyer, an 11th grader at Apple Valley’s Academy for Academic Excellence, was on life support and receiving treatment for a severe brain injury.
He said that his family is hoping and praying for a miracle, as well as prayers for Micah’s healing and comfort for their grief.
On Saturday, Academy for Academic Excellence officials obtained permission from the Moyer family to hold a public prayer vigil at the school.
On Monday, school administrators announced that their counseling team would help children in need while also providing services for families and staff.
Apple Valley Little League officials turned to Facebook on Saturday to express their sadness after former player Micah Moyer was injured in an car accident along with his mother.
Cheryl was president of the High Desert Republican Women Federated, worked for the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, and served on the board of the High Desert Youth Soccer League, she told the Daily Press in previous interviews.
The California Highway Patrol said that the collision occurred around 7 AM PT on Saturday, May 25, near the intersection of Highway 18 and Milpas Drive in unincorporated Apple Valley.
Micah was a passenger in his mother Cheryl’s 2015 Toyota Rav4, according to the family.
According to a preliminary investigation from the California Highway Patrol, the Toyota was driving north on Milpas Drive when it failed to stop at the Highway 18 stop sign.
The Toyota was hit by a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 truck traveling east on the highway.
According to officials, both vehicles overturned during the collision and came to rest on the highway’s northern dirt shoulder.
Micah was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center, Lancaster, CA following the crash, while his mother was pronounced dead on the spot.
The California Highway Patrol said that a man and woman in their 20s were minorly injured in the Dodge.
Karen Sanchez, an Apple Valley real estate agent, told the Daily Press that Cheryl had worked as her bookkeeper for several years and the two had seen each other on a regular basis.
Sanchez stated that she knew the Moyer family more than 2 decades ago and attended Bible study with them.
Officials from the Academy for Academic Excellence / Lewis Center for Educational Research said donations to support the Moyer family can be made online by scanning a special QR code or going to facebook.com/AcademyForAcademicExcellence.
