CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: Final Words of Final Sermon by Alistair Begg, Senior Pastor, Parkside Church, Chagrin Falls, OH [#AlistairBegg]

Hi everyone.

Pastor Alistair Begg quoted the second verse of an old hymn from the late 1950s or early 1960s in his final sermon titled “Above All Things” at Parkside Church.

I do not know how many days of life are mine to spend, but One who knows and cares for me will keep me to the end.

I do not know the course ahead, what joys and griefs are there, but One is near who fully knows.

I’ll trust His loving care and then the refrain.

I know who holds the future, and He’ll guide me.

Guide you with His hand.

He went on to say:

With God, things don’t just happen.

Everything by Him is planned.

So we say, as I face tomorrow, with its problems large and small, I’ll trust the God of miracles and give to Him my all, because he is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God who is faithful to 1000 generations.

Let’s tell the Lord that we trust Him with the stuff we know, the bits that we don’t know, our fears, our failures, everything.
