Family of college athlete Christion Tucker offers $10K reward for information leading to arrest
A man was fatally shot inside a vehicle on Chicago’s South Side on Saturday evening, according to police.
According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 7:15 PM CT in the 7200-block of South Washtenaw Avenue in the Chicago Lawn area.
According to authorities, a 21-year-old man was shot multiple times while inside a vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead on the spot.
Chicago pastor Brooks spoke with ABC7 and identified the victim as his godson, Christion Tucker.
Brooks has spent years in the city trying to help the people and put an end to gun violence, so this loss is especially poignant.
He described his 21-year-old godson as a wonderful boy who played college sports, and the family is now seeking answers about his death.

Tucker was waiting in his car nearby when he was shot and pronounced dead, according to Brooks.
That’s when the pastor received a call regarding his godson.
Brooks described Tucker as a young guy with a promising future, since he was playing basketball at a junior college and prepared to transfer to a four-year university.
The family is now offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
Police stated they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no one has been arrested.
No other information was immediately available.
