Chief Rabbi David Yosef issued a statement ahead of Yom Kippur, requesting synagogues around Israel and around the world to include a prayer for hostages held in Gaza and for the protection of security forces before the traditional Kol Nidre prayer.
He further requests that everyone pray for the murdered and fallen in the current battle, as well as for those who have been injured to recover soon.
