🚨 Karoline Leavitt SLAMS Jen Psaki Over “Disrespectful” Comments After Minneapolis Shooting 🙏
A national debate has erupted after the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting, where Jen Psaki dismissed prayer as “not enough.” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fired back, calling her remarks “disrespectful,” as leaders across America defend the power of faith in times of tragedy. 🙏
Hi everyone,
A heated debate has erupted between faith and politics following the tragic Minneapolis Catholic school shooting.
Jen Psaki, now an MSNBC host, posted on X that “prayer is not freaking enough,” arguing it fails as policy: “Prayers do not end school shootings. … Enough with the thoughts and prayers,” sparking outrage among millions of believers.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt strongly rebuked Psaki’s remarks, calling them “incredibly insensitive and disrespectful to the millions of Americans of faith.” She urged Psaki to pray for the affected families instead and for the nation to unite in faith and prayer.
Leaders including J.D. Vance and Tulsi Gabbard also defended the power of prayer.

On social media, Vice President J.D. Vance defended prayer as a source of spiritual comfort and inspiration, rejecting the notion that it should be dismissed during times of grief.
Director of National Intelligence, Former Presidential candidate & Congresswoman, Tulsi Gabbard also entered the debate, describing Psaki’s stance as “anti-God sentiment” and imploring Americans to unite through prayer.
This exchange hits several powerful themes that resonate politically and spiritually:
It not only calls into question the efficacy of prayer, but it also sparks a broader debate on the role of religion in public life.
The shooting unfolded during Mass, where worshipers prayed moments before being attacked. Psaki’s dismissal of prayer struck a particularly raw nerve.
Psaki represents liberal critique; Leavitt and others defend religious expression. The quick pushback reflects deep cultural and ideological divides.
This raises challenging questions as to whether we should rely on faith and prayer or policy and action in times like these.
QUESTION: Do you believe prayer is still effective in times of tragedy? Type YES if you agree. Type NO if you disagree. Let us know your thoughts in the Comments section.

Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.

Karoline Leavitt, Assistant to the President and the 36th White House Press Secretary: “I saw the comments of my predecessor, Jen Psaki, and frankly, I think they’re incredibly insensitive and disrespectful to the tens of millions of Americans of faith across this country who believe in the power of prayer.”

We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works in mysterious ways, and can inspire us to further action.
Why do you feel the need to attack other people for praying when kids were just killed praying?
Of all the weird left wing culture wars in the last few years, this is by far the most bizarre. “How dare you pray for innocent people in the midst of tragedy?!”
What are you even talking about?

Those like Jen Psaki and Jacob Frey who criticize prayers in the wake of the Minneapolis tragedy are expressing the same anti-God sentiment that motivated the shooter— he aimed his wrath at God by trying to stop people with his bullets from praying to God. Now is a time for us to come together and join hands in prayer, for the children who were killed, their loved ones, and those who survived this horrific shooting.
