She was waiting for her mom… and then, she was gone.
Tonight, her community is praying — and searching — with everything they’ve got.

According to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Kelsey Sims was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31st, near Griffith Road and OG Road in Lamar County.
She was waiting for her mother to pick her up and take her home to The Met Apartments at Lake Forgetful, off Highway 98.
But when her mother arrived — Kelsey was nowhere to be found.
Deputies say she’s about 5′5″ tall, 130 pounds, with curly black hair.
She was last seen wearing a black top and gray sweatpants, carrying a Hello Kitty backpack, a black Adidas bag, and a black OG bag.
She didn’t have her cell phone with her.
Authorities have entered her information into the NCIC national missing-persons database.
Anyone who sees her or knows anything should call the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office at 601-794-1005 or contact any law enforcement agency right away.
Right now, her family, friends, and community are praying — holding onto faith that she’ll be found safe.

A missing 17 year old female has been reported to the LCSO. She was last seen on Griffith Road and OG Road around 9:30 am on 10-31-25. She was waiting for her mother to pick her up and bring her to her residence at the Met Apartments at Lake Forgetful off of HWY 98. She is described as 17yoa, black female, 5’5, 130 lbs with black curly hair. Last seen wearing a black top, grey sweatpants. She was carrying a Hello Kitty backpack, a black Adidas bag and a black OG bag. She does not have her cell phone with her. She has been listed on NCIC. If seen, please contact LCSO at 601-794-1005 or any law enforcement agency.
