On 22 March 2025, Pastor Dia Moodley was peacefully preaching in Bristol city center, holding a Quran and discussing the differences between Christianity and Islam. He was physically attacked—pushed off his ladder, pinned down, and his Quran forcibly taken. One attacker threatened to stab him.

Despite being the victim of violence, Pastor Dia was twice threatened with arrest by police officers on charges of “public order offenses.” The individuals who attacked him were not detained or questioned.

ADF International is supporting Pastor Dia in his legal lawsuit against Avon & Somerset Police. They are filing a formal complaint for:
Failure to protect him as the victim.

Destruction of his preaching signs in a previous case.
