The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan over a suit filed against her new pregnancy book, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.”

The notice was issued after an advocate complained to the court over the usage of the term “Bible” in the book’s title.

A single-judge court led by Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia issued the notice following attorney Christopher Anthony’s petition to file a lawsuit against Khan and the book’s sellers.

The court has asked the actor why the word “Bible” was included in the title.

Anthony, a social worker from Jabalpur, claims in his petition that the inclusion of the word “Bible” in the book’s title offends the Christian community.

“Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible,” he stated.

Anthony claims the star exploited the phrase to obtain “cheap publicity” for her book.

The book, published in 2021, follows the 43-year-old actor’s pregnant journey and offers advice for expectant mothers.

The petitioner initially asked the police to submit a First Information Report (FIR) against the actress, but when they refused, he moved a lower court to make a complaint against her.

His plea was denied because the court determined that his petition failed to explain how the inclusion of the word “Bible” in the title was objectionable.

He then petitioned the Additional Sessions Court, which dismissed his request.
