The heartbroken widow of Corey Comperatore, the hero firefighter killed by a gunman at a Trump rally, told The Post that when President Biden called after the tragedy, she did not want to talk to him.
“I didn’t talk to Biden. I didn’t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.”

Corey Comperatore, a beloved volunteer firefighter and married father of 2, was with his family at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, when psychotic sniper Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire.
A bullet hit the former president in the ear, 2 rallygoers were injured, and Corey Comperatore was killed in the shooting.
Helen Comperatore stated that it was supposed to be a “exciting day” for the family to support Trump.
When the gunfire rang out, her husband instantly shouted, “Get down,” and used his body to protect his family from the sniper’s bullets, which cost him his life.
She said the previous president had not sought out, but Biden’s call was unwelcome.
“I don’t have any ill will towards Joe Biden. I’m not one of those people that gets involved in politics.”
“I support Trump. That’s who I’m voting for, but I don’t have ill will towards Biden. He didn’t do anything bad to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did.”
