Cleveland, Ohio—former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar, beloved for leading the Cleveland Browns to multiple AFC Championship Games and winning a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys, is now fighting a battle off the field: a fight for his very life.
Kosar, 61, has publicly shared that he is battling advanced liver disease and early-stage Parkinson’s disease. He was scheduled for a life-saving liver transplant last weekend—but the operation was delayed when the donor organ was found to be infected.
