A California family is holding out hope for their 4-year-old daughter, who is battling a serious brain tumor.

They’re hopeful that radiation may help her symptoms subside enough to qualify for a clinical trial in Seattle.

Natalie Barajas, 4, has been through a lot since she was diagnosed with brainstem glioma, an inoperable brain tumour, 8 months ago.

Since then, her tumor has grown significantly, rendering her unable to walk, talk, or eat.

She now needs a feeding tube since she is unable to swallow anymore.

Natalie’s parents, however, believe she has managed to keep a smile on her face.

According to her parents, the 4-year-old is unsure why she is continuously sick.

Despite the fact that it has been a difficult battle for everyone, Barajas says the family is still praying for a miracle and remaining hopeful.

“We’re going through the worst right now, and it’s just to the point where if we don’t take care of ourselves, then we can’t take care of her. So, we have to be strong and just pray and have faith that a miracle is going to happen.”

Barajas claims he’s already used up all of his paid family leave at work and has had to take out loans to cover expenses.

A GoFundMe page set up to support the family has raised almost $11,000.
