As many of you know, our family suffered the unimaginable on the evening of Sunday, May 19th, 2024. Dakarai and Erin Mason, along with their three children, Brandon, Titus, and Noah, were involved in a terrible car accident while on their way home from a church function that would ultimately claim the lives of Dak, Erin, and Brandon. Titus still remains in critical condition at this time, and Noah is expected to make a full recovery.

We appreciate all of the support, love, prayers, and words of comfort that our community has showed us in this difficult time. We have stood by that all we need from anyone is prayers, but many of you have asked for a way to do more. This fundraiser will allow those of you who feel compelled to go above and beyond to give in their memory. These funds will go towards any medical expenses that will inevitably arise for Titus and Noah and for their futures.

We continue to ask for prayers, as we know that there is strength in numbers. Our family will undoubtedly need them in the coming days, weeks, and months as we navigate the planning of multiple funerals and in dealing with such a tragic loss. We also ask for prayers for all of the other families impacted by this terrible tragedy.

Arrangements are in the process of being made and will be shared by the family once available.

Unfortunately, after extensive tests & the best of medical care, Titus was pronounced dead this morning & removed from life support. We thank you all for the outpouring of prayers, love, & support—it has been felt by the family & greatly appreciated in such a dark time.

Please continue to pray for us, for the other families touched by this tragedy, & for our little Noah who is going through the unimaginable loss of his entire immediate family. There are just no words for this hurt.

Brandon Xavior Crawford, age 14, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Funeral Service will be Monday, May 27, 2024 at 11:00AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 106 Fire Tower Rd. NW, Cartersville, Ga. The body will lie in state from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the Cassville Cemetery. The service will be live streamed. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Mack Eppinger & Sons Funeral Home, 210 N. Bartow Street, Cartersville, Ga. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement.

The crash killed Dakarai Mason, Erin Mason, and Brandon Crawford.

In a tragic turn of events, the Masons’ son Titus also died just days later.

A Bartow County father, mother, and 2 sons were tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 last Sunday.

The incident occurred on I-75 southbound, approximately before Red Top Mountain Road.

According to authorities, 4 individuals were killed and 5 were injured.

Dakarai Mason, 43, Erin Mason, 35, and their 3 children, Brandon, Titus, 6, and Noah, were involved in the accident on their way home from a church function, according to an online fundraiser verified by 11Alive.

Dakarai, Erin, and Brandon all died in the crash.

The Masons’ son Titus was critically hurt in the crash.

However, in a tragic update just days later, the online fundraiser announced Titus had also died on Wednesday morning following extensive testsand medical care.

Noah is anticipated to fully recover, according to the online fundraiser.

Dakarai Mason
The Georgia Department of Transportation issued a statement saying it was “devastated to learn of the loss of our colleague,” but declined to comment further due to respect for the family’s privacy.

Erin Mason
The Holly Springs Police Department described Erin Mason as a “beloved” civilian employee.

In a social media statement, the police department stated that it “will continue to ask for prayers for the family and friends during the coming days, weeks, and months as they navigate the planning of multiple funerals and in dealing with such a tragic loss.”

Yesterday, we lost a beloved member of our Holly Springs Police Department family. Please keep the family of Erin and Dakarai Mason in your thoughts and prayers. We ask that everyone be respectful of the family’s wishes for privacy during their time of grieving.

Brandon Crawford
Brandon Crawford, the family’s son, was a freshman at Cass High School and an offensive lineman on the football team.

Brandon also took honors courses as part of the high school’s International Studies Magnet Program, according to the Bartow County School System.

The online fundraiser has been set up to help with funeral costs and to help Noah.
