In the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, the government is preparing to introduce a stricter anti-conversion law. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma announced that the state plans to strengthen existing legislation to curb unauthorized or coercive religious conversions, citing the need to protect tribal identity and cultural traditions.
Currently, the Chhattisgarh Freedom of Religion Act of 1968 addresses forced or fraudulent conversions. The new law is expected to expand these provisions, introducing stricter measures to prevent illegal conversions.
A key focus of the proposed legislation is the regulation of “Changai Sabha” gatherings — faith-healing events organized by some Christian groups. These gatherings provide prayer and spiritual healing to participants but have been cited by authorities as occasions where people might be misled into converting to Christianity. The new law will include provisions to oversee and regulate such events.
While the government frames the law as a measure to prevent illegal conversions and protect tribal communities, some Christian leaders and communities have expressed concern that these regulations could make it more difficult for Christians to freely share their faith.

As this debate grows louder, one question echoes through the Christian community:

Should believers stand boldly for their faith, even when laws try to restrict it…
or follow the government’s rules to stay within legal limits?

Type OBEY GOD if you believe faith must never be silenced — just like the apostles in Acts 5:29: “We must obey God rather than human beings!”
Or type FOLLOW THE LAW if you believe the government’s rules must come first.

Your comment could inspire someone’s courage today.
