The Rock Faith Center in El Paso, Texas, mourns the loss of their beloved children’s pastor, Jason Owens (49), who died in a motorbike collision on June 4, 2025.
A Mercedes sedan’s failure to yield at a stop sign resulted in a fatal crash.
Jason was more than a pastor; he was a mentor to young people, an avid Eagles fan, a member of a motorcycle club, and a dear friend to many.
His ministry, particularly mentoring vulnerable children and collaborating with Child Protective Services, had a lasting impact on the community.
Our deepest condolences go out to Pastor Owens’ family, friends, and The Rock Faith Center community.
May his spirit of service and joy continue to inspire.

Pastor Jason Owens, who served as Children’s Pastor for ages 0 to 11 and taught monthly at The Rock Faith Center in El Paso, Texas, has passed away.
Pastor Jason, 49, died after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was struck by a Mercedes sedan.
Pastor Jason was deeply committed to children’s spiritual growth and worked with people trained in Children’s Ministry.
This is the Official Statement from The Rock Faith Center and I quote:
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the passing of our dear Pastor Jason Owens.
Pastor Jason was not only a dedicated servant of God but also a cherished friend and a vital part of our church family.
His unwavering faith, compassion, and love for the Lord touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Jason exemplified the words of 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
His life was a testament to his commitment to spreading the Gospel and serving others with humility and grace.
His presence was always a blessing, and we know that his life will continue to inspire us all.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the amazing impact he made on us all.
He was that person anyone could talk to and he always had something encouraging or even humorous to say!
This truly hurts, however, we find comfort in the promise of John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
May this peace sustain his family, friends, and all of us who loved him during this difficult time.
We ask everyone to join us in prayer as we remember Pastor Jason Owens – a man of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to Jesus.
We hold his family close in our hearts and trust that God’s comfort and grace will surround them now and forever.
He will be greatly missed, but his spirit and the legacy will live on in our hearts always.
