The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting public assistance in locating missing person Aliya DEGEIT, 15.
Aliya was last reported to have been seen on May 12 in the Bay and Algoma neighborhood.
She is described as a White female, 5’0” in height with a thin build. She has medium-length wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes.

We have extreme concerns for my daughter’s well-being. This being said we appreciate everybody that has shared this post. Unfortunately Aliya is in Neofax‘s care due multiple factors, not pertaining to bad parenting, but simply a broken system.
There has been many allegations and statements put out there.
I am very involved with my daughter‘s case and have followed her through these hard times.
My daughter was placed in Schumacher residence. She was continuously running away and finally at the end the court system decided not to provide bail and transfered her in a facility in thunder Bay until she can answer to her charges. At this time she was able to escape the facility and has fled in one of Ontario’s most dangerous city’s for a youth.
There has been no communication, no electronics, absolutely dead silence. This is extremely abnormal for my daughter. She has always been able to access some form of social media and stayed in contact with certain persons, friends or family.
we would really appreciate the continuous sharing of this post as we fear for her life in these times.
