Ronnie Goines, the lead pastor of Koinonia Christian Church, Arlington TX, was arrested Thursday on 1 count of indecent assault and one 1 of sexual assault, Arlington police said.
Goines, 51, surrendered himself to Tarrant County Jail after the APD Sex Crimes Unit secured 2 arrest warrants.
Detectives brought criminal charges against Goines in June after a woman “made an outcry that was reported to the department” and after consulting with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
Goines was a founding pastor of Koinonia Christian Church and a member of Arlington’s Unity Council, which provided recommendations to alleviate gaps faced by marginalized communities in areas such as criminal justice, housing, and education.
Goines was also a past member of APD’s Arlington Clergy and Police Partnership program.
