Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has stated that Madrid will recognize a Palestinian state that includes the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and is unified under the Palestinian Authority, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a televised address, he stated that Spain will not recognize any changes to Palestinian borders after 1967 unless all parties agree to them.
The Spanish government will formally approve the recognition later today.
