It was the early hours of October 21st, 2025, in Niamey, Niger.
Three armed men stormed into a quiet home, not far from the nation’s presidential palace.
Inside lived Kevin Rideout, an American missionary pilot who had spent years serving with Serving in Mission — flying medical supplies, training new pilots, and sharing the Gospel with remote communities deep in the Sahara.
That night, his mission of mercy was interrupted.
The attackers broke in, forced him away, and disappeared into the night, heading toward the Tillabéri region, an area controlled by ISIS and al-Qaeda-linked militants.
Within hours, the U.S. Embassy issued a warning.
His organization went silent for security reasons.
And across the world, Christians began to pray.
No group has claimed responsibility.
No ransom has been confirmed.
All we know is that a faithful man of God has vanished into one of the most dangerous regions on Earth.

Psalm 91 declares, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

The same God who shut lions’ mouths for Daniel can protect Kevin even now.
And just as Paul wrote from prison, “The Word of God is not chained.”
The Gospel cannot be silenced — not by walls, not by fear, not by the enemy.
