6 women say they plan to file a lawsuit in the coming days after claiming a former pastor took advantage of them as girls.

Destiny Bounds, Danielle Bounds Hahn, Kari Jo Crandall, Ali Dyer Terwilliger, and Michelle Davis made the announcement outside the Jackson County Courthouse in Kansas City on Wednesday.

Izzy Davis, who attends UCLA, joined the other 5 women via video conference from California.

Davis believes Hawk began paying special attention to her when she was 11, citing an incident at a sleepover at Hawk’s house where she claims Hawk grabbed her hand and placed it beneath his thigh while watching a movie.

Hawk resigned as chair of the Blue Springs Schools Board and lead pastor of Epic Church in Independence last month following allegations against him.

Destiny and Danielle claim Hawk took advantage of them as 13- and 15-year-old girls while serving as Children’s Leader at Sheffield Family Life Center in Kansas City.

The women say they spoke with Detective Sergeant Keegan Hughes of the Blue Springs Police Department about their accusations.

Destiny and Danielle’s claims are 25 years old, so it’s uncertain whether criminal charges may be pursued.
