According to official Florida Highway Patrol reports and ABC affiliate WCJB, the crash happened on U.S. 90 in Suwannee County, Florida, claiming the lives of a 76-year-old woman and two girls, ages 7 and 5.
Investigators say a pickup truck driven by Martin Lagunas Ramirez crossed into oncoming traffic, slamming head-on into the victims’ vehicle.
Both Ramirez and another driver were seriously injured.
Authorities confirmed that both children were properly restrained.
Funeral arrangements and a memorial gathering were later announced, as the community grieved the profound loss.

HEARTS BROKEN, FAITH UNSHAKEN
The family identifies the victims as Carolyn, and her two young adopted daughters, Sophia and Faithann — ages 7 and 5, respectively.
They share that the three had just left a Thanksgiving church event moments before the crash…
and that Carolyn, who had recently celebrated her 76th birthday, was deeply involved in her church and community.
The children, according to the family, were joyful, full of life, and adored by everyone who knew them.
A daughter named Tammy has created a fundraiser to help cover funeral costs and counseling — and the family is calling Christians everywhere to pray, to stand with them, and to fight against the devastation caused by impaired driving.
For those in the area, funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Live Oak First Assembly of God in Live Oak, FL, with visitation held the evening before at Guerry Forbes Funeral Home in Lake City.
