This pastor was a hero. Rev. David Lalgee and his wife Jo were returning home after visiting their family when a semi-truck traveling the other direction lost control and crashed through the median. David swerved and put himself directly between the runaway semi and his wife, taking the full impact of the collision. Jo said, “He sacrificed his life to save mine and I’ll be forever grateful to him for that.” He was a grandfather of 9 and served as pastor of an evangelical church in Blackpool, England, where we held one of our training events before I preached there in 2018. His son-in-law Reuben works with us at Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and shared John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” Would you please join me in praying for this family during their time of great loss?

Hi, my name is Reuben, the husband of David’s daughter.

On Thursday 20th March our hearts were shattered into a thousand pieces as we lost David to a tragic road traffic accident on the M60 motorway, as appeared on national news.

David was a strong, loving and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and pastor, and was deeply loved by so many.

David’s last moments on earth were spent how he so often lived, protecting the ones he loved, and because of his heroics on the night, nobody else lost their life.

I have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the whole family to ease the financial burden of a funeral at this difficult and heartbreaking time.
