CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: One Christian Murdered, Another Beaten Unconscious and a Church Building Set on Fire in Sudan
According to accounts, paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militants murdered 1 Christian on Saturday (Jan. 20) and beat another unconscious on Monday (Jan. 22) in Omdurman, State of Khartoum, Sudan.
The RSF rebels, who have been fighting the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) since Apr. 15, shot and killed Hidar Al Amin at his house in Omdurman’s Umbda district, across the Nile from Khartoum, according to a relative.
Muslim extremists taunted Al Amin, a 30-year-old Sudanese Presbyterian Evangelical Church member for being a Christian.
They plundered his belongings and abandoned him in a pool of blood.
On Monday (Jan. 22), RSF militants beat unconscious Christian shopkeeper Al Thahir Kafi before plundering his home and shop in Omdurman, according to a regional source.
Kafi is a well-known dealer in the region currently under RSF authority.
Kafi’s Christian religion is well-known in the neighborhood, and the militants who assaulted him were Muslim radicals, according to the source.
Since the combat between the RSF and the SAF began, at least 5 church buildings in Sudan have been set burned.
In Al Jazirah state, which has been under RSF control since December, militants set fire to a Greek Orthodox Church building in Wad Medani, the state capital, on Jan. 15, according to an area pastor.
He stated the Greek Orthodox building sits close to an evangelical church in the city’s Hai Al Gism Al Aual neighborhood.
