CHRISTIAN BREAKING NEWS: Blackwell House of Prayer, Blackwell, Oklahoma Publishes Statement Clarifying Details on Arrests Made in Connection with Child Abuse Allegations [#BlackwellHouseOfPrayer #BlackwellHouseOfPrayerChurch]

The Blackwell House of Prayer, Blackwell, Oklahoma has published a statement clarifying details on arrests made in connection with child abuse allegations committed by a man who described himself as the House of Prayer’s “Lead Pastor” to police.

Keith Holt is not a “Lead Pastor” or has any formal position inside the church, according to John Jack, Pastor of the House of Prayer, and has just served as a fill-in pastor on and off for the previous few months.

“The Blackwell House of Prayer rebukes all statements and actions carried out by Keith Holt. The Bible speaks against child abuse or any mistreatment of children, and we stand firmly by that. The House of Prayer was also never made aware by these children of any indication that this was being carried out.”

Police arrested a man who represented himself as the “Lead Pastor” of the Blackwell House of Prayer Church on allegations of suspected child abuse.

His wife was also arrested for allegedly aiding the abuse.

According to the Blackwell Police Department, the Department of Human Services (DHS) provided information on a family that had abandoned numerous children and returned to Arkansas in early January 2024.

DHS began investigating this family and discovered that they had 8 children and migrated from Arkansas around 8 months ago.

Over the last several days, multiple referrals have come into DHS with concerns about what was going on at home with the children in this household.

According to Lt. Cory Ingram and Chief of Police Jay Brewer, on Sunday, Jan. 14, the Blackwell Police Department and DHS went to the house in the 700 block of West Blackwell Avenue to check on the children’s wellbeing.

The parents allegedly refused to open the door. DHS and the Blackwell Police Department made another effort on Monday, Jan. 15, but no one answered the door.

On Jan. 16, DHS and Lt. Cory Ingram went to the address to try to contact the children.

On this try, the parents opened the door and let DHS and Lt. Ingram into the house.

According to the Blackwell Police Department, after a brief inspection at the residence, Lt. Ingram determined that there was probable cause to arrest both parents for child abuse.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Keith Holt, who identified himself as the Lead Pastor of the House of Prayer church in Blackwell, had been abusing several of the children in his home by beating them with a wooden board up to 40 times per beating and locking them in the bathroom for several days without food or water as punishment.

This was supposedly standard behavior in the home where all 8 children resided.

Mr. Holt’s wife, Candy Holt, was also arrested for aiding child abuse.

All of the children have been taken into custody and will be forensically examined.

Keith Holt was arrested for child abuse, kidnapping, and child neglect. Candy Holt was arrested for allowing child abuse, kidnapping, and child neglect.
